क्या है ड्यूकेन मस्कुलर डिस्ट्रॉफी
ड्यूकेन मस्कुलर डिस्ट्रॉफी (डीएमडी) एक जेनेटिक डिसऑर्डर है, जो मांसपेशियों को कमजोर बना देती है। इस बीमारी में शरीर में मौजूद डिस्ट्रोफिन नामक एक प्रोटीन में बदलाव होने लगता है, जिससे यह स्थिति उत्पन्न होती है। यह बीमारी आमतौर पर 2 से 3 साल के बच्चों में ज्यादा देखने को मिलती है। वहीं, महिलाओं के मुकाबले पुरुष इस बीमारी के ज्यादा शिकार होते हैं। लक्षणों की बात करें तो ड्यूकेन मस्कुलर डिस्ट्रॉफी के हर व्यक्ति में अलग-अलग लक्षण नजर आते हैं।
ड्यूकेन मस्कुलर डिस्ट्रॉफी के लक्षण
मुख्य रूप से मांसपेशियों को प्रभावित करने वाली इस बीमारी के लक्षण बचपन में ही नजर आने लगते हैं। आमतौर पर इस बीमारी से पैर और शरीर का निचला हिस्सा अधिक प्रभावित होता है। इसके अलावा इस बीमारी के पीड़ित व्यक्ति को पेट की साइड होने वाली मसल्स को ज्यादा तकलीफ होती है। ड्यूकेन मस्कुलर डिस्ट्रॉफी के अन्य लक्षणों में कुछ निम्न हैं-
सीढ़ियां चढ़ने में मुश्किल होना
चलने में परेशानी होना
बार-बार गिरना
हृदय-फेफड़ों की समस्या
